During the previous version, I discovered that it was reporting the "Can't run DirectX in a window" problem when it was really a completely different problem which could be easily fixed.

mine says it may run slower cause some pattern thingy whatever but it runs fine and not slow at all. I have xp. of course I had not downloaded it until there had been a few fixes. I do believe I downloaded it early last week or the week before that.

That's the palette support emulation. If your video card doesn't support paletted graphics, Direct KiSS has to simulate it. This takes more memory but, if you've got lots of video memory, it probably won't matter unless you try to load 20 dolls at once. The only time you'll see much slowdown from palette emulation is in palette-swapping effects which are very rarely used anyway. I did add some code to speed that part up by using more memory but it will still cause a slight slowdown the first time a cel is shown in a different palette.

well since I got 2 computers here goes

Computer A
The first one never opens nothig nada zero first was the Direct x thing and so on and yes in both have the updated VDcard anyways I gave up on there and bought

Computer B

Opens and I am having fun still I din't understood the Kiss edit thing so I had to dload the beta .83 version too so I can make kiss in .83beta and watch them on Direct ....

Direct Kiss has always worked for me. I just choose not to use it because it takes up a lot of RAM that I don't really have. Surprised

(and it drives me crazy when my computer is slow ><)

Dkiss worked on most of the computers I've used over the past year (which is like... 5) but on my current computer I don't think there's enough video memory, or there's something wrong with the video card that won't even open DKiSS properly.

this computer gives me some error msg that says it will work but the palettes will be messed up and it will be slow.. but then it just freezes and refuses to work..

I'd check the exact msg but I deleted the install file and I'm too lazy to redownload it..
